An Intro to.......Us?

Well, here I am unsure as to how I actually begin this blog. I guess I will start with....me? What can I say? I am happily married to the most caring, warm hearted, and supportive man. He represents everything good in my life. He makes our house a home, works hard to support us (as in my shopping habits)hahaha, and he can fix or build anything and make it look like he's done it a million times before. Most importantly, he is my biggest supporter and my bestest friend. Whoops, I think I started with him. Anyway, we will be celebrating our second wedding anniversary this September. It's amazing how fast the time goes, and I couldn't imagine spending it with anyone else.

Ok, so......I too have a job. Maybe not my dream job, but I am blessed to have one. I'd have to say that one of the perks are the hours. Ok, THE perk....maybe the one and only, but it's a perk. My schedule allows me many days off throughout the month, due to the twelve hour shifts. Aside from being able to avoid the insanity of the grocery store on a Saturday morning; there are many more benefits to cramming the same amount of hours one would work in a month, into 13 or 14 days. When I am working, there is no time for anything other than work itself, commuting and hopefully getting more than 4-5 hours of sleep. So I have learned to maximize my time off by planning ahead. When I want to do nothing more than veg out, I know I will regret it. So instead, I try to make plans to get together with friends I haven't seen in a while, go for lunch and/or shopping (this includes browsing/window shopping) yes Brad, I can just look. I can find almost any excuse to hit up Walmart for "one thing" and almost always walk out of there with a few bags full of things I didn't know I needed until I got there. The time off is also spent doing the not so fun things such as cleaning, laundry, and dishes just to name a few.

I recently flew out to Ft. McMurray, Alberta to keep my brother company on the long drive home. Just a side note, I definitly went to the Walmart and definitly came out with more than what I went in there for. What did I so desperately need while I was away? I don't even know. Well, I did need make-up remover and face cleanser because the nice lady at Pearson airport confiscated the ones that I had brought with me. Oh well.
Anyway, where was I going with this? Oh yeah, my brother (Chase) who works out in Northern Alberta. He too works the 12 hour shifts, but does twelve shifts in a row and then has twelve days off. Unless he's working overtime, he will fly home for those days off. I have two younger brothers....Chase I already mentioned and then there's Calvin. I am proud of both of them. They are stand up guys who would be there for you no matter what, and they can also make you cry laughing! I couldn't ask for better brothers. Between Brad, Chase, Calvin and of course the rest of my family & friends, life is interesting.
